Third and final T20I between Ireland and India Called Off
Rain cancels Ireland vs. India cricket match. Series ends 2-0 in India’s favor. Bumrah named Player of the Series. Asia Cup up next for India, while Ireland faces England in September.
The cricket match between Ireland and India couldn’t happen due to rain. It rained a lot, making the ground wet. This means the players couldn’t even start the game. The match was supposed to begin at 3 in the afternoon, but the rain stopped it. The umpires checked the ground at 5:45 pm, but it was still too wet to play. So, they decided to cancel the match.
India had already won two games in this series, so they were leading 2-0. Even though the players couldn’t play this last game, India was declared the series winner.
The captains of both teams, Paul Stirling and Jasprit Bumrah, shook hands to end the series. Bumrah was the best player in the series. He got four players out in the two games that happened. He bowled really well and made it hard for Ireland’s players to hit the ball.
India won the first game, even though rain affected it. They won by just two runs using a special way of calculating scores when it rains. In the second game, India won by 33 runs.
Next, India will play in the Asia Cup. It will start on August 30 and take place in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. India’s first match will be against Pakistan on September 2. Ireland will play against England in a different series starting on September 20 in Leeds.
