“Bolne Se Kuch Nahi Hota”: Shadab Khan Counters Ajit Agarkar’s Assertion with Focused Response

Pakistan’s Shadab Khan dismisses Ajit Agarkar’s pre-match assertions, stating actions on the field matter most. Echoing ‘Bolne Se Kuch Nahi Hota,’ he emphasizes match-day reality over verbal exchanges, ahead of India-Pakistan clash in Asia Cup.

In the lead-up to the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash scheduled for September 02 in the Asia Cup 2023, Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan has issued a resolute response to Ajit Agarkar’s recent comments. Agarkar, the chief selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), had expressed confidence in Virat Kohli’s ability to handle Pakistan’s formidable pace attack.

Shadab Khan’s response carries a profound message, reflecting the essence of the phrase “Bolne Se Kuch Nahi Hota” (Talking doesn’t do anything) – emphasizing that actions on the cricket field are what truly matter. Kohli’s pivotal role in India’s triumph over Pakistan during the 2022 T20 World Cup was highlighted, where his stellar performance propelled India to victory. However, Shadab Khan believes that the outcome of the upcoming match can only be determined by what transpires on that particular day.

The Pakistani all-rounder addressed the media, stating, “Dekhiye, ye depend karta hai on a day. Main ya koi aur, ya unki taraf se koi aisa bol de, to bolne se kuch nahi hota, kuch change nahi hota. Jab match hoga, match mein jo cheezein nazar ayengi, asal cheez wahi hoti hai.” (See, it all depends on what happens that day. Me or someone else, or someone from their side, can say whatever they want. It doesn’t make any difference. When the match takes place, then only we’ll get to know what is the reality),” clarifying that words alone hold little significance compared to on-field performance.

Shadab Khan’s role as a key player in Pakistan’s recent 3-0 series sweep over Afghanistan has showcased his form and prowess. This victory propelled Pakistan to the top of the ICC ODI Rankings. Despite the ongoing engagement with Afghanistan, the Pakistani team is gearing up for the Asia Cup, commencing with their opening match against Nepal on August 30.

As cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the marquee clash between India and Pakistan, Shadab Khan’s succinct response encapsulates the essence of sportsmanship – proving that it is actions, not words, that will ultimately determine the outcome on the day of the match.
